About the design:

This mandala of 8 segments is reminiscent of the deep mysteries of our sub-conscious minds represented by the vastness of the ocean. In these waters, which are a source of life, power, strength, stability, and evolution, we embrace the intuition, the perseverance and patience of turtles. Some travel as many as 10,000 miles or more each year, sometimes crossing entire oceans to come back home. They’ve continued to evolve over the last 220 million years. The pointed arches on the outer section represent divine illumination, among many other elements that lend meaning to this mandala.
