Shabeena's Designs on NominoU Leggins

Posted by Shabeena Helsley on December 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (3)

This has been an incredibly wonderful year for me for many reasons. One of them is that I got to work with Jullianna Smith of NominoU, ( who offered me an opportunity to design leggings! They are avaialble in a couple of styles, and are shipped worldwide. Thank you, Jullianna.

This is the meaning behind my design: The sacred symbol OM represents all of consciousness, and the word for peace is shanti. Thus the Sanskrit phrase “OM Shanti shanti shanti” evokes personal, civic and cosmic peace, an enlightened state of being where you submit your desire to control and judge, and simply go with the flow.

Another fabulous part about these leggins is that they're made from recycled water bottles! ChitoSanté is a new environmentally friendly treatment made from post consumption shrimp and crab shells (EPA Certified). A ChitoSanté finish is applied for a natural wicking and anti-bacterial element and also to add a soft hand to the fabric.

Mid to High waistband for comfort and proper fit and reinforced stitching for durability.

Order your favorite leggings today!

Thank you!

Okay, maybe it's not worth bringing it up, but "Mandala" which means circle in Sanskrit, is one of the most basic shapes in nature. It represents qualities such as unity, wholeness, eternity, completeness, etc. This shape surrounds us from planets to microorganisms, snowflakes, crystals, cycle of seasons, life cycle, etc., and the circle is prevalent in sacred places in the form of rose windows in cathedrals, labyrinths, wedding bands, halo of Christ, etc. It is meant to be healing and beautiful. I strive to create original and unique art that is vibrant, meaningful, and at times touches your heart. It is meant to unite us all. What would you do if you found your copyrighted work being used by a blogger without your permission-especially to warn people against it?! Feel free to share your thoughts.
